We were all teenagers once, and certainly had our fair share of idiocy. We all wanted to fit in, to be noticed, and to do extraordinary things.

Over the last few years, however, as most of those desires have shifted to the internet, teens are jumping on the crazy train to participate in ridiculous, and sometimes dangerous, “challenges.” Basically, the internet has created a superhighway of like-fueled lunacy that makes us scared to turn on our computers.

7 Dangerous Teen Trends That Broke the Internet

#1 — The Tide Pod Challenge

Among the most recent challenges to make humanity question itself is the infamous Tide Pod Challenge. For the challenge, the participant films themselves taking a bite of the brightly-colored laundry detergent.

#2 — The Cinnamon Challenge

As entertaining as spewed clouds of cinnamon are, the challenge could easily lead to choking — even a collapsed lung in severe cases.

If only it were just the teenagers…but it seems as if everyone hopped on board for this one.

#3 — The Salt and Ice Challenge

Well, teenagers have decided to see how long they could tolerate the horrific combination on their skin. It burns. And it burns bad.
